Office Based

Franchises which are operated from a dedicated office will require a slightly higher level of investment, to fund the overheads associated with the premises, such as rent, rates, heat and light.

Some franchisors will assist potential franchisees in locating and securing premises to run the franchise business from. They may also account for some of the running costs in the working capital requirement for when you open a franchise.

Franchise opportunities, such as consultancy services, may require an office with additional space to accommodate client meetings or storage space to house supplies.

Some small business franchises may grow to requiring larger office premises – as the business expands and employees are taken on, space will be required to house the associated equipment, i.e. computers, telephone etc, that staff will use on a day-to-day basis.
